Not sure what week this is. . .

Not sure if Life on a boat causes a ripple of effects or that is just Life in general. Your attitude changes, things that seemed to be important aren't any more. I got rid of a monkey on my back. . a volunteer job that was un appreciated. . .but I enjoyed every moment. When it came to going to something stressful or being on the boat and looking out on the peaceful water. . it wasn't a hard decision.

Since the week before we moved on to "Adventuress" we have had awful rain storms. . .you have heard of "Murphy's Law". . . well Murphy was a sailor. . who had no luck. That seems to be us, it has rained more days than there have been nice days. . however you take the good with the bad and have plenty of towels on hand.

We have replaced a electrical cord that could have set the boat on fire, we only found it when we took the boat our for a ride last weekend. . we almost did not go. . YIKES! fixed that. . ran out of water in the middle of doing dishes. . .fixed that. . .it is a good thing to remember when you filled your water tank last. The past 5 days have been a challenge to get on and off the boat for Ava and myself, between low tide, winds and the current the boat was a great distance from the finger dock. Monday. . .after many failed attempts to pull the boat over with the line, I tried laying on my stomach and having Ava use my body as a bridge to board the boat. . . she was afraid and so was I. We then sat in the wind and tried to come up with a solution for us and all of our groceries. After 30 min. I did lay on my stomach and pull the boat over for Ava to get on, after she did so she quickly ran below leaving me to fen for myself. I finally made it doing the splits several times(which my body did not appreciate). The lines are tied correctly, the problem is when you pull the line the front of the boat comes to the dock not the back where we need to access. Kevin is usually at work or school and says he does not have a problem getting on. . I am having a plank built next week he will be the first to try it out!

Yesterday the rains came. . .and found there way down the mast to the cabin, which is not unusual.. . a lot of cleanup then down to the business of dinner. I have down pat turning the propane on in the cock pit then flipping the gas switch then on to lighting the stove. . .in the meantime Kevin decides to fill the water tank before we run out again. . .Reminder to self. . close the Port Holes before doing so. I was cooking when gushes of water came through the windows onto the stove and nav station. . .All I could think to yell at the time was KEVIN!!!!!!!. . .wet tacos are not tasty but I am sure it is not the first wet dinner we will eat nor will it be the last time I run out of towels.

I feel right now as if I have always lived this Lifestyle. . until the next thing happens. I am sitting at the laundromat at the next marina(I obtained the pass code from a friendly gentleman. . .it has nice washers and dryers, a fantastic lounge with WiFi and a TV with dish net. . . it looks out on the Sassafras River filled with sail boats. I then realise, I can live with out many things but I can not live with out this calmness and beauty.

I am also going to Centerville to look at a gym that has Showers. .  .now this really excites me!!!!!
